Ticket Out

Ticket Out is a survival game where the player gets stranded in a city, being forced to scrounge, work odd jobs, and survive long enough to save up enough money to get home.

Mechanics

• Odd jobs - One time jobs where the player works for a short amount of time, making a small amount of money in exchange for their time, hunger, and rest.
• Employment - Making use of hygiene products available at the convenience store, the player can work with more stable income, allowing better progression.
• Needs - The player has needs, such as rest and hunger, and can die if either drop to zero. The player has to balance their needs with their time and money in order to survive.
• Day and Night - The city environment has a day and night cycle, certain actions are only available in the evening.
• Apartments - The player can rent apartments that cost a daily fee for free sleeping with reduced risks.
• District Progression - New parts of the city can be unlocked by paying access fees, granting access to improved jobs, vendors, and housing.
• Vendors - Convenience stores and street vendors allow the player to buy food, hygiene products, energy drinks, and progression items.
• Inventory Items - Special items such as watches and nice clothes unlock additional mechanics and opportunities for the player.
• Waiting and Time Management - Benches and sleeping area allow the player to skip time strategically while balancing needs and work cooldowns.
• Endings - The player can die of exhaustion or starvation, or successfully earn enough money to purchase a ticket out.
